WEST NEW YORK, N.J. – Hudson Honda is getting ready for the “HoBOOken Halloween 5K Race and Scary Scurry Kids Run,” a community event the dealership is sponsoring. It will begin 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, with registration at Pier A Park on Sinatra Drive in Hoboken, N.J.
“We want to remind everyone not to miss out on all the fun with Halloween approaching fast,” said Hudson Honda General Manager Christopher Tropiano. “We’re giving away a free T-shirt to all race participants and the proceeds go toward funding safer playground construction. Hudson Honda wants to give back to its community by providing a fun environment for families to enjoy themselves while also focusing on an important need.”
The 5K race begins at 10 a.m., and the Scary Scurry race, open to kids ages 2 through 12, begins at 11 a.m. Race awards will be distributed at 11:15 a.m. Also at this time, the Halloween costume contest prizes for best male and female costume will be awarded. All proceeds from the race will benefit the Hoboken Family Alliance and Project Play, a non-profit organization, and will go to the improvement of Church Square Park. Everyone is encouraged to bring the whole family.
